Customised peptide design & synthesis


  • We routinely perform peptide synthesis using automated peptide synthesisers based on solid phase technologies with subsequent purification using preparative HPLC. Additional solution phase methods can be employed.
  • Up to 50 amino acids single chain peptides of high purity have been delivered using the current instruments. Using chemical ligation techniques, deliveries of up to 85 amino acid long peptides have been achieved. Different types of resins may be used depending on the need of the client.
  • Non-natural amino acids and other building blocks are introduced on a custom basis, e.g. glycopeptides. Our medicinal and peptide chemistry knowledge enables us to rationally introduce adequate modifications, such as amino acid substitutions (e.g. for solubility, stability, etc.), chemical modifications (e.g. for stability, structure-function studies), attachment of ligands (e.g. chromophores, affinity ligands) and conjugation of peptides to proteins and antibodies.
Peptide analysis
  • Quality control confirming chemical identity, amino acid sequence and amino-specific modifications is routinely performed on our produced peptides using HPLC, LC-MS, LC-MS/MS and NMR spectroscopy.
  • Quantitative NMR for accurate peptide concentration determination as well as quantification of salt, e.g. stoichiometry of acetate salts.
  • We have the expertise to perform more in-depth studies of 3D conformation and dynamic phenomena using multidimensional heteronuclear NMR techniques performed in-house.
Isotope labelling of peptides
  • We offer cost-effective labelling with stable isotopes (e.g. 2H, 13C, and 15N) as well as radioisotopes (e.g. 3H, 14C).
